‘The Blue Continent - Islands in the Pacific’ at Übersee-Museum, Bremen is officially open. Casson Mann’s design transports visitors from Bremen to the opposite point on the globe - Oceania. The permanent exhibition celebrates the cultural and natural diversity of the continent through the Island and the surrounding gallery areas.
“From the beginning, we felt a deep responsibility to guide visitors towards a shift in perspective—one that allows them to engage with, and relate to, the worldview of the people of Oceania. Every design decision has been carefully crafted to challenge traditional museum conventions and place the voices of Oceania at the forefront, allowing them to narrate their own stories. This exhibition is both a celebration of these rich cultures and a platform for people to share their stories on their own terms, through their own visual traditions and cultural expressions.” - Donacio Cejas Acosta, Lead Designer, Casson Mann
