Cité International de la Gastronomie de Lyon celebrated Lyon’s famous food culture. Opened in 2019 and located in Lyon’s restored Grand Hotel-Dieu, a former hospital, the visitor experience promoted eating together, classic dishes and local produce. It invited visitors to engage with Lyon’s traditional food culture - past, present and future - through a series of thematic installations combining objects and artefacts with stories, brought to life through tactile and sensory props, audio-visual, graphic and interactive elements.
